EXPLOEDGE
EXPLOEDGE,
a PC-based product, has been developed for the current state-of-the-art
Indian mining industry in collaboration with the Central
Mining Research Institute, to address areas in open cast
mining.
EXPLOEDGE offers two easy-to-use functions with attractive
graphic user interfaces:
Simulation:
This module provides the blast output parameters for a given
set of blast input parameters. A facility for iteration
is provided so that the user can arrive at the desired outputs
by manipulating the input parameters such as rock properties,
explosive properties and blast design. The output parameters
can be classified as fragmentation, powder factor/drilling
factor, muckpile profile, ground vibration, overbreak /
underbreak, flyrock and air overpressure.
Optimisation:
This module provides the optimal blast inputs for a desired
set of outputs. This module takes the desired output ranges,
priorities of outputs, rock properties and explosives properties
as inputs and gives the optimal blast design as output.
Desired output ranges, rock properties and explosives properties
are used to arrive at feasible solutions. Priorities of
outputs are used to trade-off amongst the feasible solutions
and arrive at an optimal design.
