Clients Project

Hokkaido Electric Power Corporation (HEPCO), Japan

Tata Inoftech consultants worked with Nihon Unisys Limited (NUL), Japan to design and develop a Global Positioning System (GPS) software for customer service management for HEPCO. The system helps the branch office in servicing its customers based on the position of its service vehicles. The GPS is linked with GIS to locate the vehicles and find the ones nearest to the customer. Development was done using ARC/INFO and its various tools, Oracle RDBMS, S-Plus, X-Windows, Openlook GUI and Interleaf DTP.
