Tata
Infotech Profit After Tax Grows By 49%

For the FY 2002-03 Tata Infotech recorded
a 49% increase in Profit After Tax. Net Profit stood at Rs.
30.46 crore as against Rs. 20.50 crore. The Company’s
turnover marginally declined from Rs. 483.30 crore to Rs.
462.06 crore in the previous year.
For the fourth quarter, Tata Infotech's total income increased
by 32% to Rs. 155.18 crore from Rs. 117.26 crore.
Profit After Tax grew by 227% to Rs. 22.60 crore from Rs.
6.92 crore.
The increase in profit has come mainly due to higher sales
in System Integration and Manufacturing operations.
The improved profitability reflects the impact of some of
the measures taken to improve operations.
