Check Processing

ChequeOnce™: Tata Infotech and Wausau Financial Systems have undertaken the joint development of this product, which is an image-based branch capture software. This product aims to automate cheque processing, so that once a cheque is received at the teller counter, it is immediately scanned. Any data entry, if required can be done, and then the cheque image becomes part of any further transactions, rather that the physical document. This allows banks to receive credits in a shorter time frame, and hence save more money.

Post Dated Check (PDC) Processing: The automated PDC processing application from Tata Infotech is aimed at efficient handling of post-dated cheques deposited by customers. The major features of this application include:

  • Information capture of the cheques received.
  • Sorting based on due dates of the cheques to facilitate easy storage or custody.
  • Tracking of the maturity dates of the cheques in custody.
  • Quick retrieval of the cheques from various custody locations on maturity.
  • Presentation of the cheques for clearing.
  • Reports to customers about the post dated cheques processed on each day with details like cheque data, due date, amount, and so on. There can also be reports, which predict the fund available to the customers in the coming days/months based on the cheques present in custody.
  • Image archival which includes scanning and manipulation of images, indexing, querying, and retrieval.

Smart Cards

Service Card: This application for vehicle owners/dealers is built around a smart card, which is personalized for a particular vehicle and contains information like vehicle model, vehicle chassis number, last servicing details, and so on. Data related to the subsequent services of the vehicle is also stored. This not only helps in maintaining the warranty information, but also the mileage, service information, and other such details on the card. Thus, the smart card provides easier and faster access to the information pertaining to the vehicle.

Health Card: In this smart card application, the card stores critical data about the patient such as blood group, allergies, medication, summary information related to patient's visits, and so on. The backend server stores further information like emergency details and treatment history. Thus, this application results in convenience for the doctor and the patient.

Loyale (Customer Loyalty Card): This smart card application allows an organization to maintain a database of the personal details of all its customers, including their preferences. The 'customer profile', which can be processed centrally, as well as locally, is captured on issuing the card. The central information helps decision-makers to gain a macro-view of customer behavior and preferences, where the locally retrieved information enables the organization to offer customized services to the customer.

The customer profile is instantly available at any 'touch-point' for personalized services, even as it does away with a cumbersome network for getting information on the customer. It is both cost effective and time saving. This application can also be used as an effective motivation tool to promote a particular service or product. All over the world, hotels and departmental stores, are taking to smart cards in a big way to attract new and retain loyal customers.

XML

Contract Authoring Tool over Intranet (CATi): This product automates the process of creating contracts, thus enhancing the efficiency, and reducing the time required for drafting contracts. The system maintains a repository of all the usable clauses, which might from a part of various types of contracts. Legal personnel can create multiple contract templates using the cause repository, and users can use the different contract templates available to create contracts according to their specific needs, over the Intranet. Since the contracts are stored in XML format, searching, collating, reporting, and so on, become extremely simple.

Project Profiles: This application, which is built around BladeRunner, aims at providing users at different levels with an online repository of profiles of all the projects, executed or ongoing, within an organization. This information can be viewed and updated, within an organization. This information can be viewed, updated, queried, and used for dynamically generating a variety of other documents like proposals and marketing literature.

Status Reports over Intranet: This is an application aimed at reporting the status of various activities within an organization. It used XML for maintaining a repository of documents of multiple groups, their milestones, and the status of various activities. The salient features of the application are:

  • Information access from anywhere on the globe.
  • Multiple queries and full text search.
  • Different views of the same data, depending upon user preferences.
  • Secured access to information.
  • Offline viewing, updating and querying.
  • Automated summary and concurrent access.
  • Progress tracking and decision making through timely availability of information.

Imaging

FilelT: This is a low-end document management system for scanning, indexing and retrieving documents. It provides a range of image manipulation features like zoom, de-skew, shear, and rotate, among others. FileIT supports archiving of images on CD. It also provides state-of-the-art OCR that converts the images into HTML, Word, WordPerfect, and RTF file formats. This 32-bit application is designed to run under Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98 and Windows NT, and also support ODBC compliant databases.

Archive Manager: This is a component that can be plugged in with any third party application. It can be used to archive documents on any media like CD-ROMs, DVDs, Jukeboxes, and so on. The client application can request for archival of any document, on a specified media. The request can be scheduled and prioritized. Depending on the schedule time and the priority, the document will be archived on the desired media at the appropriate time. Once a document is archived, it can be retrieved for future use. Like an archival request, the retrieval request can also be scheduled and prioritized. The Archive Manager will automatically track the media on which the document is archived, and will prompt the user to insert the right media in the drive.

HealthView: This product developed by Tata Infotech is an viewing system that can read and display DICOM formatted filed. HealthView can read X-ray angiograms, general radiographs, ultrasounds, computed tomography, magnetic resources and nuclear medicine images.

This simple-to-use software is the perfect solution for any hospital or laboratory that needs to view DISCOM images. It runs on a PC running MS Windows 95/98 or Windows NT.

HealthView can also read non-DICOM images to common formats like bmp,jpg, pcx, tif and tga. It has been designed to provide high performance on inexpensive PCs and allows physicians to use desktop systems, instead of dedicated workstations, to perform primary diagnosis.

SignBANK: A flagship product of Tata Infotech, SignBANK is an image storage and retrieval solution, with over 10,000 licenses sold till date in over 45 countries. SignBANK NG is a 32-bit object application with OCSX for easy integration with existing customer applications.

FormScan: This is a forms management application for the capture and extraction of information from forms, including data, photographs, signatures, barcodes, thumbprints, or any other objects. The forms can be processed using OCR, barcode and image manipulation software with OCS. A 32-bit application designed to run under Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98 and Windows NT, FormScan can work in both standalone and networked environment.
