Eenadu Telvision : Election Analysis System (EASY)

Election Analysis System is the first GIS system on Eenadu Television developed for all Loksabha and Assembly elections. EASY was used to display thematically shaded maps like seats won by the different parties on-line. Even this analysis system has been incorporated to find out the percentage of voters (male/female), voter turnout, winners/losers details, percentage vote share between the parties, current leading position in the constituencies, swing analysis, region-wise domination, cross voting, sabotage factor etc., On-line multi-user data entry module to accept the ongoing counting results is also incorporated.
This application was used during the programme 'Nirnayam 99' (60 hours live telecast programme) which is an Election Analysis programme telecast during the 1999 election counting.
