Tata Infotech Limited, India’s leading systems integrator, has been awarded a contract, from the City of Tempe, Arizona, USA, to implement a state-of-the-art, highly configurable and integrated tax solution, at the City’s Tax and License Office. The contract was won against stiff competition from global IT players servicing the Tax and Revenue services sector.

The tax solution, known as TaxMantra™, has been developed in-house by Tata Infotech, and will aid local and state agencies assess and collect taxes in an automated and efficient manner. The solution is designed to streamline operation processes while enhancing taxpayer service. The contract value is around US $1.5 million including a 5-year maintenance support.

Tata Infotech has a growing services practice in public sector and has developed the TaxMantra™ tax solution using component architecture on an easily configurable and highly scaleable platform. Tata Infotech is also partnering with select globally leading systems integration and consulting organizations to provide TaxMantra™ solution to various government agencies.

Mr. Dean Doubrava, Tax & License Administrator, Tax and License Division said: “The City was looking for an integrated business tax and license solution with the goal of improving taxpayer services, operational efficiency and automating a number of the existing manual processes. The TaxMantra™ solution from Tata Infotech together with its surround system components will meet the City’s goals.”

This order was won by Tata Infotech by virtue of its highly scalable and flexible TaxMantra™, which is easily integrable with technologies such as Internet Filing, IVR Filing, Imaging, Remittance, Cashiering, GIS and DSS.
