Tata Infotech has been the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions. Amongst the most prestigious awards is the MAIT (Manufacturers Association of Information Technology) award for Excellence in Exports for the year 2002-2003. Mr. J.D.Sharma, Sr.Vice President, Manufacturing, Tata Infotech, received the award from the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Arun Jaitley, at a ceremony held on May 9 in New Delhi. The other recognition came in from the ESC (Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council) for export performance in the category of Contract Manufacturing Services for 2001-2002. This award, which covers the entire export community, is a tribute to select exporters who have managed to beat the global slowdown and make a significant export contribution. Tata Infotech also received the Unisys « Supplier Excellence Award – 2002 » for excellent service provided to the Unisys Plymouth plant.
