Tata Infotech education
to roll out fresh tech modules

Hyderabad: Tata Infotech Education,
the education services division of the Tata Infotech Limited,
has proposed to introduce new technology modules in line with
the industry trends.
The company will include the two new modules
- remote network management and storage area network, in their
curriculum soon, Tata Infotech head (education services), Rahul
Thapan told reporters here on Wednesday.
As part of its future plans, the division would
also target the overseas corporate customers for its newly launched
Certified Network Engineer Programme (TCNE) and get into network
consulting, architecture and design courses, Mr Thapan said.
The launch of TCNE course will strengthen TIL’s
position as a provider of training in consonance with the requirements
of the IT industry as well create careers for students, he added.
Tata Infotech has been involved in implementing some of these
large networks including the statewide network in Maharashtra,
Kerala and Karnataka for BSNL to support the National Internet
Backbone.
The network integration market in India, according
to IDC, has grown from Rs 399 crore in 1999-00 to Rs 616 crore
in 2001-02 and is growing at an estimated rate of over 25 per
cent annually.
