Mumbai: Shareholders of Tata Infotech Ltd approved a dividend of 60 per cent for the year 2000-01, as against 35 per cent in the previous year, at the company’s annual general meeting on Monday. The general body has also approved the re-appointment of Mr Nirmal Jain as managing director of Tata Infotech for a period of three years. Responding to shareholders’ queries, Tata Infotech chairman FK Kavarana said the company will be investing approximately $3-5 million in the next two years in its Canadian subsidiary which was established for R&D. The board announced that they would revaluate the Esop structure. The company also plans on expanding the number of training centres to 300 next year.
